Ali’s classes are friendly, welcoming space to practice. I love the flow and always feel I have more energy that I did, along with a feeling of calm. A perfect gift of self care for me at the end of my working week. Thank you Ali for your commitment.

I absolutely love going to Ali’s (vinyasa) yoga class. Her style, her nature and the location make it for me. It completely sets me up for the day – both in head and body

There are literally so many words to describe Ali’s outdoor yoga class on the Quay but to name just a few…calming, tranquil, serene and unique!
There is nowhere else that I know of in this area where you can enjoy beautifully taught yoga by such a wonderful supportive and experienced yoga teacher, whilst also being surrounded by nature and the most incredible sea views.
Something about this combination just makes it a truly magical experience.

My friend and I were visiting Chichester with our teenage children, when we luckily came across Ali’s yoga class. We loved the class and the setting. We both practice regularly and felt that this class was the right mix of challenge and relaxation. It is in the most picturesque setting I have ever practiced yoga in before. It really made our holiday. We even got back before the kids had woken up! When we visit Chichester next year, we will definitely book ourselves in again. Thank you Ali

Ali’s Yoga Journey
Her journey led her to take a 200 hour Yoga teacher training course with The House of Yoga from which she graduated in January 2022. The course was truly life changing, leaving her with a deeper understanding of this ancient practice and how it is relevant for modern day living.
Ali looks to guide and inspire her students so they feel challenged in both body and mind, yet energised and nourished. She has a passion for practicing outside and benefiting from all the elemental aspects of nature.

Frequently asked questions
How many times a week should you practice yoga?
If practicing yoga makes you feel good, practice as often as you are able.
I personally practice every day – but often this is only for a few minutes and just a few poses to either get my body moving in the morning or to relax at the end of the day, combined with meditation. Other days when I have a bit more time to dedicate I will enjoy a full 90 minute class. The average class length is 1 hour.
Yoga really complements other sports and therefore it will be dependent on the time you can commit. It will also depend on the type of yoga you are practicing, and the teachers whose classes you enjoy. Meditation and breathwork are also part of yoga and can be practiced as frequently as you wish.
Does yoga help you lose weight?
A more toned body can be an outcome of a regular practice but it is not the main reason people come to their mats. Yoga brings benefits far beyond merely the physical, yoga is a philosophy of action for living, not just a set of exercises. There are eight limbs of yoga, the third limb is asana – the practice of postures which unite the mind and the body, it is theses asanas which create the physical movements from which your physical body, soul and spirit will benefit. It will also improve your fitness and is great for your heart!
How do I choose the right yoga for me?
Yoga is a very personal and what is right for you may fluctuate on different days, weeks or seasons. The main things to consider are –
The teacher Find a teacher who you really connect with, they will be your guide through a class and their voice, clarity, tempo, words of encouragement should make the class more enjoyable
The style of class You may be looking for energetic power yoga, vinyasa yoga, hatha yoga or deep relaxing yin yoga, understand the different styles and what works for you. Try out a few yoga classes, understand what you enjoy and listen to what your body needs.
How much do yoga classes cost?
The cost of a yoga class is anywhere between £8-£22 per class. Many studios offer class passes or monthly memberships which can significantly reduce the cost per class if you attend frequently. Ali charges £11 for her studio yoga classes and £7.50 for an online class.
Where do you hold your outdoor classes?
My outdoor yoga classes in Chichester usually run through the summer and recently have been held at Dell Quay, Chichester, West Sussex, PO20 7EE
Where can I sign up for yoga classes in Chichester?
There are many yoga studios and classes in Chichester, and it can be difficult to choose the right one. Here are some tips to help you find the perfect yoga class for you: 1. Ask around. Talk to your friends, family, and co-workers to see if they have any recommendations for yoga studios or classes in Chichester. However there are very few yoga teachers who take classes outside! How many people are in a yoga class?
Class sizes vary and this can be due to time of day, day of week or venue capacity. Teachers will have their own preference on how many people they are happy with in a class and how much time they want to dedicate to each person. The average class size is around 15 people
