Chi links to where I live now – my family & I live in Chichester, which is often referred to by the locals as Chi.
It also links to my childhood – I grew up in Cornwall and recently discovered that Chi translates into house in Cornish. My first in person yoga class following my graduation was run from my home and so it was a fitting part of the name.
Chi is also the 22nd letter of the Greek alphabet which is my birth date, and if I was choosing lottery numbers it would always have a place!
Chi is also the circulating force which forms the basis of much Chinese medicine and philosophy
I believe that yoga has been my best medicine, giving me a strong life force. Combining the energy with starting my yoga business at home at a time when my Mum was taking Cornish language lessons meant that Chi Ali Yoga was the preferred business name
